General Education Academy

The General Education Academy Trust was founded in June 1963 by the then Chief Minister Kannamvar. The facilities for the Trust were spread over an area of 2 km.in Chembur. There were some classes being conducted on 14th Road, and one class was even held in a garage on Central Avenue ! Then in June 1964, two floors were rented in the Natraj building. The Trust Founder President was Shri Prithviraj Kapoor and it had a total membership of around 110.

The Trust is currently being managed by an elected Managing Committee, consisting of one President, two Vice-Presidents, a General Secretary, a Joint Secretary, a Treasurer, and Members of The Board.

Mr. V.L. Shanbag (Principal & Executive Secretary), has been in charge of the school for the past twenty-eight years.
