
M. S. Ramachandran is new Indian Oil Chairman
Mr.
M. S. Ramachandran has taken over as the chairman of the Indian Oil Corporation
Ltd. effective 1st April, 2002. Prior to this he was Director (Planning and business development).
A graduate in mechanical engineering, Mr. Ramachandran attended advanced management programmes Ashridge Management college in England and IIM, Ahmedabad. He joined Indian Oil in 1969, as management trainee and handled a variety of assignments in the company during his career. As deputy general manager (international trade), he played a vital role in maintaining uninteprrupted supply of crude and petroleum products during the Gulf War. He has also served as the executive director of the oil coordination committee
Mr. M.S. Ramachandran and his family are keen cultural buffs and are regularly seen at various cultural events held at Chembur, especially at the Fine Arts Society.
