Naadha Anjali and
Sri. N.S. Chandrasekara Bhagawathar
Chembur
The prime object of Sri Chandrasekaran in promoting this organiisation is to popularise carnatic music and allied fine arts in Mumbai, especially among the youngsters. Also to organise monthly concerts of upcoming local artistes, most of them young, who do not get a chance to perform under the aegis of the local sabhas. Admission to these concerts is free for the public. By this venture, Sri Chandrasekaran has been successful in spotting local telent and bringing them on the stage so as to attract the attention of the local sabhas who could present them later on their platform .

From 1985, the organisation is functioning from Chembur. Initially the concerts were held at General Education Academy school hall. For the past two years the concerts are held on the last Sunday of every month at Saraswati Vidyalaya hall, 11th road, Chembur.
Naadha Anjali is perhaps the only organisation, outside Tamil Nadu to conduct the Annual Thyagaraja Aradhana and festival over five days with two concerts of one hour duration each - everyday. On the morning of the last day there is a group rendering of pancharatna kritis in which musicians and music enthusiasts in large numbers from all over the city participate. The annual day celebration of Naadha Anjali is held in mid April over two or three days featuring Music and Bharata Natyam recitals.
Since 1987 Naadha Anjali also conducts regular carnatic music classes in the evening from 6;30 pm at Saraswati Vidyalaya. There are at present about 100 students on its roll. The faculty consists of the principal Sri. Chandrasekaran, ably assisted by Smt. Raji Raju, Smt. Bhanumati Sunderajan, Smt. Chella Krishnaswamy. Every year the institution conducts tests for the students who are examined by well known musicians from outside, and awards prizes and certificates of merit to them. A few years back Sri. Chandreasekaran conducted free classes for Thyagaraja Pancharatna kritis under the agies of Nadha Anjali, which was taken advantage by music lovers.
Naadha Anjali is run by a committee consisting of Sri N.S.Chandrakaran as president, Sri V. Balakrishnan - Secretary , Sri T.L. Ramaswami - Treasurer and a few others.
The senior students of Sri. Chandrasekaran also assist Sri Chandrasekaran in the conduct of these progremmes . Thus NaadhaAnjali has made a niche for itself in the cultural map of this metropolis.
Sri Chandrasekaran is also a faculty member of The Fine Arts Society, Chembur. In the Fine Arts Society in addition to teaching the students in its Sangeeta vidyalaya, he has conducted capsule courses of various rare compositions like Muthuswami Deekshitars, Panchalinga kritis and Navagraha Kritis and Swati Tirunals Navaratri Kritis.
