An internationally acclaimed artist of repute, Sri Narayan Mani has clinched a name for himself as an innovative performer of VEENA. His mastery over the instrument allows him infinite freedom for creativity thus adding imagination and depth to every new concert. He performs on a uniquely designed Veena which has all the traditional qualities and in addition to it is relatively handy and if required, could be electronically amplified with the help of a contact mike.

He had his initial training from his parents, Late Sri Narayan Subramani, Smt. Sarasvathi Mani and later had the privilege of being trained by Smt. Lakshmi Krishnaswamy and Prof. Padmashree K.S.Narayanswamy of Trivandrum.

He has a number of recitals and concert recordings to his credit. He has been awarded several medals and trophies by various organisations and has also been offered a fellowship in the subject of "Archive Preservation Methodology of Music and Dance".

He has toured extensively and at many times repeatedly to various countries viz. U.K. France, Germany, Holland, Austria, Sultanate of Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong, Taiwan, Reunion Islands and Russia.

He has performed and presented lecture-demonstrations for various TV. channels viz. Music Asia and Star TV by invitation and has participated in the "International Conference of Computer Music" held in Hongkong.

He has been an integral part of the Indian Film Industry for the past 20 years. He has participated in recordings of many super hit films right from the film 'Sargam' of 1979 to the yet to be released 'Refugee' and several mega TV.serials, viz.Ramayan, Mahabharat, Tipu Sultan, Chanakya, Om Namah Shivayah, Jai Hanuman etc.

He is a renowned Music Composer and has provided music to various films, serials, documentaries, ballets and jingles. Some of his award winning projects include the film - 'Diksha' and the latest of the project for which he has composed music has been the regional film - 'Janmadinam' which has been presented at the Berlin and Cairo International Film Festival in the current year - 1999.
