SAMPRADHAYA BHAJAN IN THE TRADITIONAL FORM
Sri Bodhendra Swamigal, the 59th Pontiff of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, has done Nama Sidhantham (argument of Nama Prabavam) in 'Granthas' and propagated the same. Sri Sridhara Iyyaval of the same period, (who brought Ganga in his village Tiruvisanallur, T.N.) has also made many 'Granthas'. After about 100 years Sri Vengatarama Desikar later called as Sri Maruthanallur Sadhguru Swamigal was born in the year 1777 at Thiruvisanallur and passed away in the year 1817. He lived in Maruthanallur Village. In the year 1803 on 'Ayalyam' he found out the place of Jeeva Samadhi of Sri Bodhendra Swamigal at Govinthapuram (T.N.) in the Veeracholan River.
King Saraboji was the Shishya of Sri Sadhguru Swamigal. King Saraboji has diverted the river and made the place suitable for further developments. Sri Bodhendra Swamigal was the Manaseega Guru of Sri Sadhguru Swamigal. He was doing Unjavirthy Dharmam daily. He travelled throughout India and gathered many Keerthanas and Abangas of Various Avathara Purushas. He combined (Deva Bhasha) Sanskrit, (Pancha Bhasha) Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi Languages in the Bhajan Schedule for the National Integration.
Sri Sadhguru Swamigal himself planned Sri Radha Kalyanam and structured the same. Ashtapathi is common for both Radha and Seetha Kalynams.
Maruthanallur Sri Sadhguru Swamigal (1777-1817) was the Pioneer of Sampradhaya Bhajan. Sri Guru Kalyanarama Swamigal (1930-1995) was the Fifth Peetadhipathi. He took Abathsanyasam before his passing away and was called Sri Sivaramakrishnananda Swamigal. He attained Mukthi in the premises of the Mutt itself on 7.11.1996. The Athishtanam Building is under construction for this Swamiji. Now, Sri Guru Kothandarama Swamigal is the 6th Peetadhipathi of this Sadhguru Tradition.
