For KM.Ramaswamy, the Guru Swamiji, it all started with a "Vision".

Originally a tailor by profession at Chembur, Guru Swamiji went to his home town after his loveable mothers death. Being deeply attached to his mother, it was a tremendous personal loss to bear. He was totally withdrawn unto himself and could never think of returning back to Mumbai for resumption of his work. Then one night he remembers, after 13 day rituals he dreamt of Shani Devaru and Lord Shanishwar told him to return to Mumbai and open the temple with lords photo in his shop.

Then, Ramaswamiji consulted his Guru regarding the VISION, and he was told that indeed he had a Drishti of the Lord Shanishwara. His guruji guided him about the Pooja proceedure. He immediately returned to Chembur, Mumbai, and converted his small tailoring shop into a temple with Lord Shanishwara photo in it. This took place sometime during May 1983.

Slowly, and gradually by word of mouth the popularity of the temple spread to areas near and far, and people started visiting the temple to seek blessings of the Lord. Guru Swamiji would perform Puja, give and bless the devotees with sacred ash.

The devotees in due course, in gratitude donated land and later the temple was transformed to a large place housing the Lord Shanishwara by 1987. Due to the blessings of the Lord and efforts of the devotees who contributed both in cash and kind, the temple was built in a record of three months. Hence from 1983 to March 1987 the small temple became the big temple now existing and it was inaugurated on 1.4.1987 by Film Star Shri. Dharmendra. Today, the temple has the largest idol of Lord Shanishwara in Mumbai and people from all walks of life celebrities to poor, all alike visit the temple often.

Every Saturday is a ritual at the temple. ‘The bhajan starts at about 6pm with the Swamiji dressed in pink dhoti performing Puja before the idol of the Lord Shanishwara. Soon after he establishes a connection with the Lord as if a medium were to with the spirit. Thereafter, he stands on a paduka of nails, lights a camphor on his palm, which he eventually swallows, and in the possessed state addresses his devotees, who tell, whisper their grievances to him.

Afier blessing all, Guru Swamiji gives them limboos, flowers and tells them to go home as their W0RRIES are now his, and to have faith in the Lord who would solve their problems.

Hence, many persons, and families, have been benefited with their problems solved after visiting the Lord Shanishwara.

Future planning of Guru Swamiji, who is now considered a healer of sorts, is to organise development activity for poor children, Anaath Ashram, Vradda Ashram, education, Hospital etc.
