Pujas at the temples are performed by learned Sivacharyars and Tantris. While the Sivacharyas perform all rituals at the Vinayaka, Subramania and Devi Durga temples in accordance with the Agama Shastras, the Tantris perform the rituals at the Ayyappan and Guruvayoorappan temples according to the Tantra Shastras.
